BEHIND THE SCENES
As a response to the elimination of in-school vocal music programs within the Santa Ana Unified School District, to bridge this gap, KidSingers was founded in 1997 by choral directing visionary, Paul McNeff. With an ongoing enrollment of 100 youth, ages 8 – 18, KidSingers cultivates underserved kids by providing them with a dynamic after-school choral music program that extraordinarily produces seven live concerts each year. Not only does KidSingers teach kids how to sing and perform, but it also inculcates within them self-esteem and confidence as it provides a safe haven away from gangs, drugs and other self-destructive behaviors. Throughout KidSingers lengthy history, this uniquely distinctive award-winning program continues to serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration to thousands of kids, producing for them a brighter and more joyful future.
