Equity | Diversity | Inclusion Statement
Since our establishment in 1997, KidSingers has endeavored, through the universal language of music, to champion racial equality, inclusion, tolerance and social justice for all. The recent unjustified killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and so many other unarmed black citizens in our nation, have shocked and outraged people around the world. This is a moment...a moment for national transformation! These names, our names, are representative of flesh and blood human beings with common dreams, aspirations and ability to give and receive love. The seeds of change starts from within, as the KidSingers’ Code so beautifully declares:
“We pledge to respect one another, to be trustworthy and fair. We will care about each other and be good citizens. Above all else, we will take responsibility for our actions, in our quest to build a better you. . . and a better me.”
We must not remain silent. Black Lives Matter. KidSingers stands in solidarity with all groups that promote peaceful and systematic change in our quest to become a more perfect union.
